The Palazzo Senatorio is a large palace situated at the top of Capitoline Hill in Rome Italy.  It looks out onto the Piazza del Campidoglio, which was designed by Michelangelo in the 14th century.

The Cordonata is the beautiful staircase that leads up to Piazza del Campidoglio.  It too was designed by Michelangelo.

Statues of Romans Castor and Pollux can be seen at the top of the staircase.

In ancient Rome, the Tabularium was located at this magnificent hilltop location.  This Renaissance building is currently home to the city government.

The Capitoline Museums are located in two palaces located adjacent to Palazzo Senatorio.  They are: Palazzo dei Conservatori and Palazzo Nuovo.
