The Piazza della Repubblica is a large city square and traffic circle located at the eastern end of Via Nazionale, one of Rome's main streets.

At the centre of this historic square is the Fontana delle Naiada.  Originally unveiled in 1901, the theme of the fountain is that of water and water creatures.

Via Nazionale runs from Piazza della Repubblica, past the Exposition Palace (Palazzo delle Esposizion) and leads to Ancient Rome.
