The Pantheon in one of Rome most famous landmarks.  It was designed to be a Greek temple by Emperor Hadrian in AD 118 and completed in 125 AD.

The Pantheon is also called the "Temple of all the Gods". It is the best-preserved historic monument in Rome.

This beautifully architected building was ingeniously designed to support the weight of its huge dome.

The rotunda's diameter and height are the same: 142 feet.  A hole in the center of the dome (the oculus) provides filtered light into the building.
