Baldachin Altar - Altar Baldachin

The bronze and gold altar that can be found in St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome is called the Baldachin Altar (Altar Baldachin).  Located directly above the tomb of St. Peter, the alter and canopy is a Gianlorenzo Bernini masterpiece that was built between 1624 and 1633.
